How to Have Perfect Red Lips

How to Have Perfect Red Lips

Here recently I have had several people ask me how to wear red lipstick and not look like a clown. I have tried several different techniques and nothing came out the way I wanted it to, or if it did it would rub off within a few hours.
With the help of some of the Motives girls here in the office, I finally figured it out and quite frankly couldn’t wait to share!Lip Lock
The biggest tip I got was to wear lip primer, ever since one person told me this it is like that has been what everyone else swears by. The more you think about it the more sense it makes, primer is like Velcro for your lips. Just like in every other area of life – primer is there to help (like making it easier to paint a room). Primer also makes it easier to paint your lips. Motives Lip Lock makes lipstick go on beautifully and allows for a longer wear.
Lip Crayon
I was also told it was time to take a look at how I lined my lips; fill them in before you line them. What I didn’t think about before this is that it is easier to take a brush and start painting the lipstick in and then go in to get the prefect shape with a pencil. The Motives girls pointed out that the Motives Lip Crayon is your detailing tool. To keep to the painting analogy think like a painter would think; they don’t paint all the details in at first. They start with the big picture (blocks of colors on a certain area) and the start working in the details. This will also be faster if you’re in a hurry.
Rich Formula Lipstick
So there you have it, start with Motives Lip Lock then fill in with Motives Rick Formula Lipstick and finally make your perfect lip shape with Motives Lip Crayon.
