5 Things You’re Doing Wrong With Your Skincare
1. Using makeup removing wipes. We are all guilty of it, as handy as they may be, they are not ideal for your skin. Wipes only remove dirt and makeup from the surface of your skin, but not deep down. This can result in clogged pores and breakout. Swap to a Micellar Cleaners or a good old fashion liquid soap facial cleanser. These will not only remove your makeup but will also clean deep down to leave your skin fresh.
2. Be gentle with your eyes. The skin around your eyes is the thinnest and more delicate skin on your face. Yet we constantly tug at it and rub harshly when trying to remove makeup. This abuse damages the collagen and elasticity of your skin, which worst of all can lead to wrinkles and lines. So show your eyes some love with our Eye Balm to soothe and repair.
3. Quick morning wash. By now I think it has been engraved in us enough to wash our face before we go to bed. But many often skip this stop in the morning and go straight into moisturizing, or worse, do nothing. While we are asleep our skin is busy repairing itself, which it does though creating new skin and old skin cells dying off. If you don’t wash your face in the morning you are only adding products onto of dead skin. Your morning skincare products will absorb into your skin more after you rinse it off.
4. Skincare up, makeup down. Gently massage your skincare products into your skin with an upward motion. You should move the products in the way you want your face to go. If you are pulling them down your face will drag your skin down, which will age your skin. When applying makeup you want to brush down, for your makeup sits on top of your skin.
5.Consistency. I think this is one many of us can be guilty of. Like everything in life we look for a quick fix with minimal effort, we have to put forward. Find a skincare routine you like, do it every day, always. That is the secret to beautiful healthy skin.
